Alright then, it's been decided. Dean & I've rented a flat in the Hale House and we'll be having a housewarming on Saturday. Starting about half six, and I've got some food coming in, but if you want to bring something, that wouldn't go amiss. Wouldn't mind if you tell me ahead that you'll be there, but if you decide at the last minute to just come on by, that's fine too.

I figure, I had all these mates back home, but most of those mates aren't here, or are different, so might as well get together with new folks who might be mates come tomorrow or the next day. So I'm leaving this invitation open, even if I don't know you yet. Figure I'm a Hit Wizard, any of you lot get unruly I can actually hex you and toss you out.

Dean, left your key at the nurse's station. I, er, well, I think Nurse Hatterby might be a bit sweet on you.

Well, I've secured a flat. I've also apparently secured not just one cat, but two. They are littermates, one girl and one boy. Carys is a tortoiseshell and Reese is white with big black splotches. I'm not quite sure whether Reese sits still yet, or sleeps, so he seems to be aptly named.

I'm finally getting put back on cases. I've a partner now, bloke by the name of Middleton. Don't remember him at all, but then, that's seeming more and more usual these days.

I'd been considering having a housewarming party for the new flat, then I realized I wasn't sure who to invite. Would anyone be interested?

Always felt like I never quite fit into things back home, but that's nothing like here. It's like I had anchors, what with Gin and Shay and Harry always being there and all. Now I'm drifting and I can't think where to stop. How to stop.

Met someone who said he might have a line on a flat now that I'm getting an income again. It's surprising how expensive flats have been while I've been looking. Thinking about a kitten again, too.

Woke up this morning wondering if anyone's watering my plants and feeding Dillon. I'd like to think Ginny must've stopped by since Shay must've said I'm missing.

Then I started wondering if they're all right. If they're even still there, or if something happened and that's why I'm here. Er. Not so sure I like that train of thought at all.

I'm off for the Hit Wizards today to convince them to give me my job. Hopefully this time they'll stop laughing.

So. Um. Things aren't exactly where I left them this morning.

I got up. Fed Dillon. Petted him because he's gotten quite demanding in the morning, as if my sleeping all night is an afront to his kittenhood. Had breakfast, got my robes, and headed out to work.

When I walked into the Hit Wizard bullpen some bloke stopped me and told me I didn't belong there. Spent the day getting quizzed, told I was dead (which I'd like to say I'm most certainly not), then quizzed again by an Auror once the Hit Wizards decided to let me go over there. I suppose they were all pleasant enough but I'm under the distinct impression that I haven't a job to go back to.

Since then I've been back to my flat (there's some other bloke living there) and an attempt to use one of the communal postal owls to send something to Susan and Seamus failed miserably. So I found myself a spot to stay at the Leaky and sat down to look through the journal and let's just say that was disturbing.

I'm rather hoping to wake up soon.
